Pheasant Tower Shoot
Experience the thrill of a Pheasant Tower Shoot! We offer hunts for groups of 12-100 people, with a minimum of 300 birds released for each hunt. Our hunts include catered meals, dog handlers, transportation to and from the hunting area, and bird cleaning with cooler bags. About Pheasant Tower Shoots
The European-style Continental Tower Shoot is a very popular attraction at DeWitts Outdoor Sports. Ring Necked Pheasants are released from atop a specially constructed tower during this event. Shooters are placed on position stands (pegs) 360 degrees around the tower and rotate clockwise from peg to peg after the release of a specified number of birds, and then the fun starts again. Ammo is not provided, Ammo will be available in the pro shop or hunters may bring their own bird loads. A piece of blaze orange clothing, in the form of a hat or vest, is required to participate in the hunt. Both hat and vest are recommended and will be available in the pro shop before the shoot. Dog Handlers will be positioned through the field and retrieve downed birds between rounds. Hunters may bring their own dogs however, DeWitt's is not responsible for the health of dogs not specifically hired for the hunt. DeWitt's staff may remove hunters and or their dogs if they perceive their actions to be unsafe during the hunt. After the shoot, the retrieved pheasants will be breasted out, divided equally, and packaged by DeWitt's staff and will be available for pickup.
